Photography is one of the utmost discoveries in human history that reshaped our worlds on all levels and opened endless possibilities for social and personal development. In the age of hyper-mass media, its significance isn’t fading away, just on the contrary – we are exposed to its power as consumers and creators more than ever before.
In our work, we are engaged in the capacity of photography to communicate and elicit sublime and suppressed thoughts and feelings, the (un)aware strengths and needs of individuals and communities, all to empower overall well-being and improve the lives of individuals and different social groups. In that sense, in our highly adjustable programs, we combine practices of therapeutic photography, mindful photography, and participatory photography, known as photovoice.
For participation, no photographic background is necessary, and a smartphone or tablet camera, as well as any other digital camera, is more than enough.
