Photovoice
Photovoice is one of the most prominent forms of participatory photography. It is a visual research methodology that puts cameras into the participants’ hands to help them record, reflect upon, and communicate common strengths and concerns. Stimulation of people’s empowerment, enhancement of self-perception, and positive social change are the primary goals of the photovoice methods.
Aside from conducting photovoice workshops for different communities in the field of cultural practices, this sort of program can be adjusted to a vast range of teams, professionally connected or with other shared interests, in the form of team building or regular meetings within a few weeks. The expected outcomes are strengthening bonds between individuals within the team, building a sense of belonging to the team, and visualizing common goals.
