PHOTOGRAPHY & YOGA RETYREAT
This program, combining mindfulness techniques, yoga and artistic expressions, is aimed to improve our overall well-being in the challenging times.
As we know, mindfulness and photography are both rooted in the present moment, in the idea of focusing, and combined can help us to temporarily let go of our goals, hopes, and anxieties and immerse into our true selves by noticing different phenomena from the outer world.
Getting to know a few tricks of photography framing and compositions can make you see the world with different eyes, put you in a playful position and thus bring you in a state of mind that is light and clear but still energetic, relieving but receptive. And all anyone needs is a smartphone or tablet cameras!
The Mediterranean ambiance of the Adriatic islands never fails to deepen the sensations of the mind and body and opens up new insights.
Reflecting upon those unplanned and non-ambitious images captured on the periphery of our perception can further lead us to our forgotten visual memories, to the echoes of our origins and abandoned dreams. The whole process might help us identify our position on the timeline of our lives and give us the sense of direction we should turn.
In addition to developing mindful photography skills, the conscious exploration of buried and active emotions through photographic tasks, guided and freestyle reflections, and sharing experiences within the group will make this program therapeutical at the core.
YOGA
Aside from mindful photography techniques, this one-week program includes morning yoga and pranayama breathing practice in the magnificent outdoor ambiance of the Island of Brac.
ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
The hotel is located in a beautiful old stone building in a small village ten minutes drive from the coast. It lies on a mild hill slope providing magnificent sunset views spreading over the rustic house roofs, green fields, and hills towards the sea and nearby islands.
There are seven separate rooms: four rooms with two separate beds, two rooms with three beds, and one room with a double bed.
The offer includes breakfast and dinner, which includes regular, vegetarian, or gluten-free meals, according to your wishes.

EXCURSIONS (ADDITIONAL)
VIDOVA GORA MOUNTAIN
A 10 km long walk takes you through the forest with narrow paths and macadam road. The climb to Vidova Gora is 361 m from the starting point. The duration of the excursion is approx. 3 hours.
VIDOVA GORA MOUNTAIN– BOL
It takes a 10 km long walk through the forest with narrow paths and macadam road. The climb to Vidova Gora is 361 m from the starting point, the descent from Vidova Gora to Bol is 780m. The duration of the excursion is approx. 5 hours.
PUSTINJA BLACA MONASTERY
There is a 30-minute drive to the monastery parking. Then a 35-minute downhill walk to the monastery. Allow approx. one hour for sightseeing and a 45-minute walk back to the parking.
